These high-frequency antenna masts are capable of operating to altitudes of 50,000 ft. They are made of a special epoxy formulation developed by Dayton-Granger and incorporate a patented sealing arrangement. The exposed surface of the mast is protected by a rain erosion coating in accordance with MIL-C-7439. Part Number 14900 utilizes high-strength chuck jaws to hold larger wire.
