Electrostatic Diagnostic Test Sets are used to electrically charge an aircraft on the ground to simulate the charging phenomenon aircraft encounter in flight. The test sets can simulate streamering, arching, and corona noise allowing the problem to be identified and the corrective measures taken to eliminate noise-producing sources on the aircraft being tested.
